I wanted it to be the best it could be so I took my time. The inner Velcro is a little crooked but I think I did pretty good. From the outside it's the 100% cotton print with dragons, Fleece (hidden to make it more water resistant) and the flannel next to baby's skin. It is made to go over a prefold diaper. It's not crooked in real life, but the last two pictures depict it that way. I actually did a really good on the leg elastics, but the pic doesn't do it justice. The dark color of the diaper doesn't help either. Zach loved it. He also has a House of Kolor handkerchief I want to use, but he won't let me touch it.

I keep making things to go over the prefolds and I want to make an All In One - which is put on just like a disposable and the whole thing is thrown in the wash. They are the easiest to put on, but they take long to dry and I'm not really sure where to start with making one or what materials to use. They have several layers and an absorbent pad sewed in the inside. They are pretty neat.
I got a pattern for Rita's Rump Pockets - which is a one size diaper that is stuffed for absorbency. They are sizable so "theoretically" they can be used from birth to toddler hood. I have 3 diapers cut out and ready to be sewn, but I am trying to get my cross stitch quilt finished. I have been so preoccupied with diapers that I have neglected my quilt. I really like the RRP because it reminds me of the BagShot Row Bamboo one size diapers which I LOVE. The only problem with the BSRB is: brand new they can cost about $23/diaper including shipping. I have bought 3 used in great condition ones off of swap sites for about $13/each. They are so stinking cute. I, like other moms, have become addicted to the BSRB and I think the RRP pattern will help me to make some of my own and save my wallet. Doesn't make sense to cloth diaper to save money, if you are going to just spend it all on the diapers. It is just so hard cause there are some cute diapers out there. It's easy to get addicted.
If the RRP is true to form from the pictures and reviews it will fit a small baby and a toddler. I can't wait for Colton to get here so I can test out all the kinds of diapers we have. I plan to write reviews of all the ones I have bought and the ones I make.
I am 37 weeks and 1 day today and just playing the waiting game. I am going to work some more on my quilt and maybe sew a few diapers tonight. More later.
